How do I make a reservation?
Start by checking availability, and then pay the required deposit amount by phone, fax, or mail. Please do not email your credit card number. Reservations are confirmed only after deposit has been received.
Is there a cleaning fee?
No, you will not be charged a cleaning fee, unless a remarkable amount of dirt/trash is found in the apartment or any damage has been done which would need repairing. Smoking in a non-smoking room would also be cause for charging a cleaning fee.
How close is the beach?
Our property connects with the beach. Just follow an 80 ft. private path that leads you right to the sand.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is not permitted in the apartments or any covered portion of the premises.
Do I need to rent a car?
It is not necessary, depending on how much you want to travel during your vacation. It is convenient, as our public transportation is limited. The Maui Bus costs a few dollars and travels to Kaanapali, Lahaina and various other locations around Maui. You might choose to rent a car for just part of your stay. Some car rental companies are located near the Kapalua airport, which is just 5 minutes from the Hale Maui.
Is there parking on the property?
Yes, at no additional charge
Is there an airport shuttle?
There are a few shuttles at the Kahului airport that can take you to your hotel for about $50, usually cheaper than a taxi. The courtesy desk at the airport can help you with getting a shuttle.
Is there a resident manager?
Yes, there is a manager living on the property
Do all rentals have kitchens?
Yes, all kitchens are complete with stove, oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, silverware, pots/pans etc…
Is there a washer/dryer for guest use? Yes! Coin-operated washer/dryer is available on ground floor.
Are there any ground floor vacation rentals? No, apartments are all one or two flights up of stairs.
Can we BBQ at the Hale Maui? Yes! There is a designated BBQ area with a grill and an outdoor seating area amidst the garden.
Is there a/c in the apartments? No a/c, but ceiling fans accentuate the cool trade winds that blow year round. Rentals designed with this in mind.
Is maid service available during my stay? Upon request a cleaning service can be arranged at a minimum fee of $50.00.
Are there phones in the apartments?
There are no phones. However, there are jacks in the apartments which would need to be activated through the local phone company.
What is your cancellation policy?
Any cancellation 30 days or more prior to arrival date may receive a deposit refund minus a $50.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival date, there is no deposit refund.
What is an apartment hotel?
An apartment hotel is much like a small hotel with larger more spacious rooms like apartments or large condos. Instead of separate condo owners, all rentals are owned by the same person(s). At the Hale Maui Apartment Hotel the owner/managers live on the property.
